New Updates Method–No SL Group Required!

February 22nd, 2010

New Old Time Prims NewsletterThose of you wanting updates on what we at Old Time Prims are releasing, without having to take up a group slot, now you have an option. We’ve installed a HippoGroups terminal at many of our locations. All you need to do to be added to the group is visit Old Time Prims and click on the Old Time Prims Newsletter sign by the door. The terminals also allow you to receive past newsletters, should you miss one!

Don’t worry–those of you wanting to receive updates via the standard SL group still will be able to do so. We will be sending our update messages out through both the SL group and the HippoGroups server. So if you like your current method, there’s no need to change. If you need a group slot available, well, now you can make one, and still receive our updates!

L$31925 Raised as of 1/19/2010! $119.00 US Donated Same Day!

January 15th, 2010

OTPHaitiDonationJar
Update: 1/19/2010

It is with glee that we announce that, in the time beginning last Friday, we as a group raised L$31925 by the tally time, to include a few stray donations to the jars past that time. According to the Linden Exchange at the time of posting, that is worth $119.00 US! And so, just now, I sent with my Visa a donation to the Red Cross (as previously mentioned, I was not going to wait for the dollar exchange to send it) of $119.00!

Be proud of yourselves, everyone! We did a great thing!

Those wanting to keep the temporary jars out may do so. We are still working at Virtual Haiti Relief to create a networked system for donation. Until that comes to pass, for awhile longer, we’ll be happy to continue to monitor the jars and donate accordingly.

Thank you to everyone for your support, and for your donations. Without those who donated their lands and shops to host these jars, those who went and gathered more people to do so and those who gave generously, this could not have been done.

See virtualhaitirelief.org for details and to get involved!

Original Post: 1/15/2010

Dear Patrons and Friends of Old Time Prims,

We are saddened by the events in Haiti this past week.

The photo included in this post is of the jar we’ve created and set out. When coordinated/networked donation boxes for the Red Cross are solidified, we will replace these jars with those. But for now, Mila Edelman will be managing the jars and making donations accordingly. Please keep watch on this post–we will update it with jar locations as we add them.

If you would like a donation vase at your location, please send an IM to Mila Edelman and she will be happy to get one to you!

Current locations are:

At Old Time Prims, we’ve decided to donate all proceeds from all purchases at any Old Time Prims location to the Red Cross for Haiti. This will be in effect until Tuesday morning (Jan 19, 2010) at 12 AM SLT. There is also a tip jar by the front door of our main store, if you wish to donate but not purchase anything (or if you want to donate and purchase).

Tuesday morning, we will tally up the proceeds and send a donation in real dollars immediately (we will not be waiting for the L$ to US$ conversion).

So come get your vintage dresses and your antiques–all money will go to those out there helping the victims of this terrible earthquake.

With sad hearts and minds,
Old Time Prims

New Flagship Store for Old Time Prims!

October 6th, 2009

That’s right, ladies and gentlemen. The Old Time Prims shop is all brand new. As some of you know, Old Time Prims was outgrowing its old building. It was becoming a trial to squeeze every new item in, and, frankly, it was more difficult for shoppers to find what they were looking for, when everything was so tightly packed. When I initially designed the old building, I did not know that the business would grow as fast and as strong as it did.

50′s Sundresses and 50′s Bathing Suits Updated!

September 9th, 2009

It is with joy and exhaustion that I announce that the 50′s Sundress and the 50′s Bathing Suit collections have been updated. What’s so special about them, you ask? I decided to experiment with more depth shading. The difference between the old pieces and new pieces is noticeable–the new versions appear more realistic on the skin. The old ones were good, but the new ones are fabulous!

If you purchased one of these items and would like an update (please preview the new items in our main store to see if you prefer the new one), please contact me (send an IM to Mila Edelman, whether I’m online or not) and we’ll arrange an in-world exchange. Do not send me your old product if I am not online or not waiting for you to send it, as receipt of items is spotty!
