Beginning in April of 2007, Mila Edelman, along with a good friend, opened an antique and curiosity shop called TWIST & MILA DESIGNS, inside the virtual 3-D world of Second Life. The shop operated continuously until September of 2008, selling everything from clocks and clothing to tables and sofas. After the decision to give up their land, Mila decided to take some time away from Second Life. That was until Phideaux and Echo contacted her and asked her to bring the shop to Esoterica, where it currently rests. Mila and Twist decided to part ways as far as business went (no hard feelings, of course), and it was in February of 2009 that Mila officially opened Old Time Prims.

With a renewed desire to create items from the past, as well as to update items that she was previously selling, Mila began anew. Since then, she has been adding continuously to her lines of vintage clothing and antique furniture.

The Collection Organization

Most designers in Second Life organize their products by collection, and Old Time Prims is no different. In order to keep things simple, Old Time Prims products are organized by decade, except for the Asian Imports collection, which is not era-specific for our purposes, and the Victorian collection, which spans longer than 10 years. In some cases, decades overlap era names, and so a choice is made as to which collection in which a product fits best.

Customer Service

Should you experience any trouble with any product purchased from Old Time Prims, please leave a notecard in the mailbox at our flagship store, for the same reasons as mentioned in Locations.

Custom Colors

Custom colors are L$100/ea, on top of the standard cost of the item.

Color variations on a particular outfit or piece from Old Time Prims are possible, most of the time.

If you would like a color you do not see in the store, please leave a notecard in the mailbox at our flagship store.

Most clothing from Old Time Prims is no-transfer, so there will be no way to send back an item if you’ve purchased it. If you want an item that is in the store and a custom item, then go ahead and purchase the ones in the store, and send a notecard.

If you only want the custom item, do not purchase a color you won’t be wanting in the store. Instead, please leave a notecard in the mailbox at our flagship store.

Locations

Old Time Prims can be found at several locations across Second Life. Visit our Locations page for current listings. Mila is also always open to new offers for locations. If you are interested in having an Old Time Prims location open up on your land, please leave a notecard in the mailbox at our flagship store. Do not send IM’s regarding this (IM’s regularly cap out) and please do not send notecards directly to Mila. Second Life does not always deliver notecards and she would not want to miss your message.

Note:
Prime spots only will be considered! Please leave a notecard in our mailbox (mainstore) with details about your location, current traffic, events you hold. What sort of shoppers will your sim bring into my shop?

Prime Spots are:

  1. In your primary gathering spot (example: in your nightclub)
  2. At the main entrance of your primary gathering spot (example: right out the main doors of your nightclub)
  3. Your main teleport point will be considered.

If you provide advertising services (not required), please provide details. These would include things such as the ability to announce new products to your main group.

We hope you enjoy our products!
